The St. Peter's & St. Paul's church at Kadathy was founded in the year AD.1875.  About a century later in 1975 the church was renovated and was consecrated by the diocesan Metropolitan H.G. Mor Dionysius Thomas (the Catholicos Aboon Mor Baselios Thomas I).

The main thronos of the church is established in the name of Apostles Sts. Peter & Paul and the altars on either side are dedicated to St. Mary and St. John the Baptist.  The main feast of the church falls on 4th, 5th and 6th of January.   M.G.M. Sunday School, St. George Sunday School, St. Peter's & St. Paul's Youth Association, Martha Mariam Vanitha Samajam and the Antiochian faith protection Society are the spiritual organizations functioning in the church.  There are four shrines under the church, each dedicated to St. Mary, St. George, Mor Kaumo and St. Baselios Yeldho.
